Timeline for Mail:
The mail service in Panama requires much patience. It can take from ten days to more than a month for mail coming from Panama City to arrive in the United States via the Panama postal system. From a Volunteer's site, mail might take 1-2 months to reach the United States.
Packages are not recommended, but if so, it is recommended to be sent in a padded envelope if possible as boxes tend to be taxed and opened more frequently.
